Amalfi Coast with Scott Forsyth and Veriano Verde A week long trip exploring and learning about the Amalfi Coast with the added addition of a RCGS photographer and a leader interested in photography. Our trips were punctuated with interesting pauses to take advantage of the scenery and the light. We learnt about the countryside, farming and food. We gelled as the week went on and shared our experiences.
A comprehensive taster of a beautiful part of Italy This trip really packs in a lot into a week, giving you a taster of the best locations in and around Naples and the Amalfi Coast. There is not much scope for relaxation or quiet time, but you do get to visit a wide range of places. The trip is described as "leisurely" but we found The Walk of the Gods hard going and it took its toll on our joints. The ascent to the crater of Vesuvius is not easy either: steep and heavy underfoot. It is a full-on itinerary and we were glad of our decision to extend the trip by a week to relax at the hotel.
This was the second time I have done the Amalfi Coast trip: firstly by myself in 2005 and, after having such a lovely time, I decided to bring my husband and friends along.
