We originally were going to self drive but changed our mind to have a driver/guide. Brilliant trip. Our guide Kreshnik was knowledgeable, entertaining and a good safe driver. He ensured we saw the real Albania and not just the tourist hot spots. Spectacular scenery, delicious food and interesting history. Go now before Albania gets too popular.

We initially were going to self drive but are very pleased we didn't. Kreshnik was an excellent guide and driver. We had a great mix of culture/history, hiking and everyday Albanian life. Kreshnik ensured we experienced the real Albania and not just the cities. Highly recommend you to visit Albania soon, before it becomes too commercial.
