Sedef and her team did an amazing job organizing our 8 day tour. From the time of booking to our very last flight, there was great communication via WhatsApp and everything ran smoothly. Reza, Emre, and Hatti are absolutely wonderful tour guidesƒgreat English, full of passion, and very accommodating. The tours do involve a lot of walking but even in July heat, it was not too rigorous. The tour guides made sure to find shady spots for us and lots of water breaks. Meals provided during lunch were delicious. The shuttles vans that took us around were very comfortable and had outlets and ac. We choose to pay extra for the hot air balloon ride on Capadocia and it was fantastic. Sedef made arrangements and a local company picked us up from our hotel room at 4 am. The driver had nice goody bags filled with fruit, snacks, and water. After the hot ballon ride, the pilots and their crew all served non alcoholic champagne in honor of the soft landing. Totally great touch. We got back to our cave hotel by 7 am, which gave us time to take a quick nap and breakfast before our next tour. This was honesty a great tour of the high lights of Turkey. Small group, we loved our guides, and made friends with fellow tourists. Thank you again Tour Altinkum and special shout out to Sedef for going above and beyond.
Really good holiday, Fantastic scenery and setting. Hotel nice with friendly staff. Lovely to see the animals. A nice place to wander round on your own without getting hassled or lost.
Excellent guide, fascinating trip Loved the daily walks that we did as we covered some fascinating history and saw a unique part of Turkey that's off the beaten track of the standard beach holidays that people do when they think of Turkey. The guide Ikut was one of the best guides I've seen, and I've done lots of this kind of trip. He was kind, attentive, diplomatic and very cheerful. The walking was pretty relaxed and we went at a slow pace and it was all quite easy. The main point of our walks was to see the beautiful landscapes and hidden, painted rock churches. The food was plentiful and delicious and we were well looked after. The only bad points are the hotel Ciner, which wasn't great (days without hot water, no bar to hang out in at night, and repetitive food at breakfast) but it was close to the town centre and adequate for our needs. Also the communication from Exodus prior to the trip wasn't good. But the locals in Goreme, including our guide, worked hard to look after us and it's a really beautiful part of Turkey to experience. The walking routes were dry, dusty and exposed so hats, sunglasses and water are recommended.
