After researching for hours online for every Japan tour that existed, booking with Intro Travel was the best decision we made!!! I went on this tour with my boyfriend and we found it to be a great combination of group activities and separate free time. The accommodation that we stayed in on the tour were all so unique and could not fault at all. It was SO affordable and great value for money for everything we experienced. It exceeded our expectations by far and truly gave us a once in a lifetime experience! Favourite moment from the trip was seeing the snow monkeys and experiencing snow for the first time! „¸ A big thank you to our group leader Anna who made this trip so effortless and enjoyable - youre a legend. ’’
This trip was an excellent intro to Japan! It covered a huge variety from highlights of sprawling Tokyo to rural seaside and mountain villages as well as offering insight into Japanese culture through the eyes of our wonderful local guides, “Tea” and “TaiChi”. Despite the weather being colder and wetter than expected ( trust me, bring full waterproofs especially hands and feet as temps were also near zero in places), the sheer adventure of cycling along a beach, up some challenging climbs to our local ryokan and wonderfully exquisite prepared dinners, the photos relect is all smiling through the weather! The rides were punctuated with well thought out cultural stops and a wonderful selection of lunch spots. I would highly recommend this trip!
Cherry Blossom and so much more in Japan We had high expectations for our visit to Japan for the Hanami (cherry blossom viewing) season and they were exceeded. Not only did we get to see the beautiful blossom but also the old Japanese streets of Kyoto, dancing Geisha, the spring fair in Takayama, snow monkeys bathing and so much more.
We got to stay in a traditional ryokan with great dining which was a great Japanese experience. Over and above the standard tour, our group leader also arranged on our free days to see Mount Fuji (wonderful view from Lake Ashi) and the sumo wrestlers training.
We've been back a week and still processing all the wonderful experiences.
