Wonderful first cycling holiday This was my first cycling holiday so I was not sure what to expect. Since the trip is rated Moderate I thought it may be challenging as I have not done much cycling before and only bought a bike a month ago. At times it was a bit tough with windy conditions and since I wanted to stop and take photos to make it easier for myself Michele arranged for me to get an E-bike on the second day. This made a huge difference especially for the hills and I didn't have any worries anymore.
Rachelle was the best tour leader. Some hotels needs to be reviewed/replaced. Chris and Simon very professional drivers. All side excursions were worth the money. Planed meals were very good and represented the local flavor. Be prepared to pay to pee and all the labor strikes in Italy.
Tour leader Vivien is great. She is very informative. Driver Ezio is great too. He's very cautious & courteous. Accommodations in Florence & last day of my stay at the Hotel sucked. Hotel Delfino & Hotel American Palace Eu was terrible. Delfino's location was in a "dicey" neighborhood. Hotel American's main entree during our first night was terrible. They also put me in a sofa bed for my last night in Roma. They claimed they're fully booked & why was that my problem? Expat Tours was recommended by a colleague at work. However, I'm hesitant to refer this to any of my colleagues.
