We booked this as a land only group of 4 and booked our flights separately plus extended to stay in Kalpitiya (for kitesurfing). The trip was the usual high standard we have come to expect from the tour operator. Everything went like clockwork and our fellow travellers were great fun. Sampath, our guide, was really good and to be highly recommended. His broad knowledge and happy, smiling disposition enhanced the whole experience. Sri Lanka has some interesting sites and experiences to offer but we unfortunately suffered a lot of rain in our time there which did literally put a dampener on the trip! Sigiriya was shrouded in cloud and mist when we got to the top. Different I suppose! The cycle ride was a highlight (it didn't rain!) as was Dambulla Temple.

From a warm welcome at the airport to a sad goodbye at the end, this was the best holiday we have ever had!Our tour leader ensured we experienced the real Sri Lanka in a responsible way with numerous activities and something to suit everyone. Our group of 8 adults and 8 children (aged 10-17) became great friends and the organisation of our leader meant we could relax and enjoy our holiday. Be warned - going back to work is difficult after such a great trip!!

A really varied trip in a very beautiful country, giving a great mix of culture, walking and nature amid some stunning scenery. Coming from the UK winter, the lush greenery and fabulous flora and fauna of Sri Lanka was a joy, and the leader and other local staff ensured everything ran like clockwork and everyone was well looked after and kept happy.
