Embark from Puno at 6:45 am to discover Lake Titicaca's marvels. Visit two Uros floating islands, then head to Taquile Island for a hike and insights into its renowned weaving culture. The tour ends around 5 pm, providing a fascinating glimpse of Lake Titicaca's cultural and natural wonders.
This tour start at 6:45 am approximately with the transfer from your hotel to the port of Puno, where you will take the motor boat to visit first the Uros floating islands on lake Titicaca there are more than 50 floating islands but you will visit just two of them, on the first floating island the tour guide will explain about the Uros people, after that you will have some free time to walk around, to take some pictures, and probably to visit their houses; so you will stay there for about 1 hour visiting two floating islands.
After your visit to the floating islands you will continue with the boat ride to Taquile island, people who are considered “ the best weavers in Peru ”, on the island you will have a nice hike to enjoy the view of the lake, the first part of this hike will be uphill 30 minutes and the second part will be flat and downhill 1 hour approximately, during this hike you will stop to visit a family home from the island where you will learn a little bit about the famous textiles from Taquile and it’s people, also you will stop at the town square of Taquile to visit the handicraft shops to see the weaving, the square will be the highest point of the hike 3950 12960 feet. This visit normally last two and a half hours and then you will return to Puno, to finish the tour at 5pm approximately.
