Walking the Great Wall

The walking was much more interesting than I might have feared because we were using unrestored and relatively remote sections. it was really good to feel that the villages we stayed in overnight gave us an insight (however slight and sanitised) of life in a part of rural China.

Fantastic trip which I wish I could do all over again! I loved every part of it (even the dreaded sleeper trains). It was such good fun and although it covered a lot of China it has made me want to see more - it is a great country that is well worth a visit or two. Good job the visa is now multiple entry and valid for two years! :-)

As a usual spain packaged family holiday guy, my son wanted to do something exciting with his dad before he goes to Uni, So this was completely out of my comfort zone. I researched the holidays on the net and i thought Exodus was by far the best.And what an amazing experiance!, Here i was the other side of the world trekking up and down mountains, with fantastic views. Talk about tough, but i dug deep and completed it everyday. And what a fantastic group of people, all friendly and willing to discuss their prevoius adventures.And thanks for Barry for lending me his shades.
