William, Antia, and Andrea were all very good guides. We also had 2 other local guides that were a wealth of knowledge. The Amsterdam Ibis Hotel was decent. Most of the staff was helpful, there was a fitness center but there should have been water provided, and the breakfast wasn’t bad. The Novotel d’italie hotel was better but there was no fitness center. The staff was all very helpful, the breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were spacious. Logistically the tour is not what I expected with 1-4 tour buses of people; 100+ people. At times it felt more like a high school trip than an adult tour.
Mont Blanc Circuit 12th - 26th July A fantastic experience from start to finish. Long days (8.30am to 5pm) with plenty of breaks, magnificent scenery and great company. Plenty of ascents and descents along the way, forest trails and rocky paths. If you are used to walking in the Scottish / English / Welsh hills then this trip shouldn't bother you. We had a mixture of participants of differing ages but all were able to keep up easily. The weather was pretty kind to us and we only had a couple of days rain. You won't regret doing this trip and it will inspire you to do more.
The Mont Blanc 7 day trek was all that it was advertised as. Stunning views, excellent guide Elodie who ensured that the pace of the trek was suitable for all. The description of moderate to challenging was spot on, with some of the steeper sections falling into the latter category. Great mix of people in our group from different locations in the world, brilliant atmosphere. Accommodation was as described (twin room option worthwhile) and the food was varied enough through the week - picnics just right for lunch. You do walk the hours so being well prepared before you come on this trek ensured that we successfully managed the steeper sections. Great experience and very well organised.
