Mont Blanc Highlights 9th June 2018 My husband has already done a review and i echo his thoughts. i did find this the most challenging of the walking holidays we have done. We have previously been to Croatia, Turkey (Cappadocia) Picos de Europa, The Dolomites and Slovenia.
The views were wonderful and the food was outstanding. Sarah and Rich were just great hosts.
The paths were fine and the journeys to and from the walks easy. It was lovely being walking distance from Chamonix.
Good challenging walks and excellent meals We were lucky to have a week of sun, so had excellent views of Mont Blanc and the surrounding peaks and glaciers, everywhere we went. Walks were a good distance each day, with some challenging parts, but moderated by second-breakfast and first & second lunch stops... And our evening highlight was always dinner at Chalet Chocolat where Zohi and Ben served up beautifully presented, restaurant quality food every day.
Another fabulous trip with UTracks! The scenery was beautiful. Moorlands and broom for the first week or so – dairy country - punctuated by beautiful little villages and cathedrals, churches and chapels along the way. Then miles and miles of wheat, corn and sunflower crops with a few grape vines thrown in. I met lots of people, and then lost them again when we did different distances. And then we’d bump into each other again later. Wonderful camaraderie and all doing the same thing and loving every minute of it. UTracks, as usual, organised everything beautifully. All I had to do was walk.
