Loved the bike trip and the hotels we stayed in. I never had to use the map as we had 2 people who were very adept at using the gps instructions that were sent
This tour was good value for the money. They have created an affordable trip through Europe that was fun and hit some major high points. Note that if you are planning on taking this trip, the price you are seeing contains little in the way of actual activities when you get to these destinations, so budget about $1k more per person for addon activities (that's on the high side). Also accommodations are generally at value hotel chains like Ibis Hotels, which is adequate, but us plus our luggage packed with winter clothes for two made for some pretty tight quarters. Our tour guide was funny, engaging, organized, and quite accommodating inspite of the large groups we had. She went into the history of some of the areas we hit, but we wished there would have had more of that included. There is also the factor of 50+ other people and what come with trying to get that many people and their belongings headed in the same direction in fits and starts. It was chaotic and a touch stressful at times, but that's part of the experience.
This has to be one of our most enjoyable holidays - our worry now is how we can top it this year! The camping bit was great as all were thrown in together from the start - having a cup of coffee or a cold beer with a nice cake or biscuits ready when you arrived at camp after a hard day's walking was superb.
