If you are not sure whether to book this or not just do it because it will be incredible! I stayed at Chalet Chocolat - Ben and Zoe were our hosts and their food is absolutely incredible! Jim was our tour leader and he made each hike really special - he told us riddles to make going uphill easier, helped us connect with nature and had a ton of knowledge about the local area. The group was fab - I travelled solo and and everyone got on really well. The chalet is fabulous with a great hot tub, scrumptious post hike cakes and an honesty bar! Just a great trip with a great group! 100% recommend it.
The tour was amazing!! Wow. excellently organized. We were able to see so many places. We learned so many things. To me this was a dream come true. 100% score. Our tour leader Adam,so broad and knowledgeable, so warm, caring and friendly, organized and humorous. His warm personality created so much warmth, love and togetherness amongst all of us. Our driver Antonio wow, his driving skills is in another level . Never been so relaxed in my life being driven by a bus, ( worse in our case up the highest mountains),but with Antonio I was so relaxed.Very careful, caring, very neat, he loves his job. Thank u Adam and Antonio so so much.
A superb week in three countries This is a great trip hiking through three countries and experiencing the best of the Tour du Mont Blanc. We had a great guide - Augustine - who led us safely through all the hikes. We had variable weather - but this was fine. However, come prepared for all weathers, even in the height of summer. The walking is quite challenging and the fitter you are, the more the walks will be enjoyed. Make sure you come with spending money - and Swiss francs are useful for the first couple of days in Switzerland, even though the trip notes say euros are fine (you'll get a better deal with francs). Switzerland is, obviously, more expensive than Italy and France. Self-catering for packed lunches is quite easy, with local shops etc. If you buy packed lunches, they are over-priced, although generally very good. Included breakfasts and dinners are, overall, excellent. Accommodation - very comfortable and fit for purpose. The hotel in Forclaz, on day one, is the least impressive. Some trip notes details are not as accurate as they could be. This is a superb walking trip through a beautiful area of Europe. It is well worth the expense.
