This was my first experience of an Exodus holiday and I loved it. I will definitely be using Exodus again. We were in a group of 14 with one guide for each of the walks, Rupert on the first day, then Jen for the rest of the week. Both guides were excellent and tailored the walks very well for our group, and for the conditions. ourwalks weren't as strenuous as indicated in the tour information, but that was appropriate for our group. I and one other member were very uncomfortable with some of the drops around us, but both Jen and Rupert were very supportive and helped me achieve more than I was expecting. The walks were all amazing in beautiful scenery.
Just returned from two weeks walking the Tour du Mont Blanc. It was a fantastic experience, at times hard work, but every drop of perspiration was worth the effort. Excellent group camaraderie; everyone got on very well and the two groups leaders - Shaun and Kieron - were first rate. The evening meals were very good, often restaurant standard. Would whole-heartedly recommend the trip. Just make sure you are fit enough for the challenge of the long climbs.
This trip took us through a sparsely populated area of France, where we saw few people, but saw plenty of old buildings and walked along roman roads through the mountains. The food and accommodation was excellent and we met some interesting people. Highlights for us, were the Verdon Gorge and walking along the roman road that climbs through the mountains. We completed this walk in August, when the temperature was 33 degrees, hot for walking. However, we will return again in the Spring or Autumn.
