Wow, what can I say? This holiday exceeded my expectations in every way - the walks were varied and interesting, the weather was amazing and our hosts Sarah and Rich at Chalet Chamonix were brilliant, providing us with gourmet international cuisine every evening and gorgeous cakes in the afternoons after our walks. The scenery and views were stunning - I was in awe of the scale of everything compared to our English Lake District mountains. The days weren't as long as I was expecting - we had plenty of stops for refreshments and time to go into the lovely town of Chamonix.
Excellent from start to finish I couldn’t recommend this trip more. The Chalet (Chalet Chamonix) genuinely felt like home for the week and the views of Mont Blanc & surrounding glaciers from the hot tub couldn’t be beaten. Chalet hosts Liz and Clare were exceptional and the food was fantastic (including freshly baked cakes on walking days). Our guide for the week was Jeffry who was so easy-going, informative and helpful. All three Exodus staff made our week in Chamonix an incredibly enjoyable and memorable experience.
Hiking in Provence in June It's been an unforgettable journey! The hotel was located in a pretty little town Greoux-les-Bains.Some walks started right in Greoux, for other walks we traveled with our guide in a van. The walks ranged from easy to medium in terms of complexity. All routes were very scenic: lavender fields, meadows with poppies, limestone cliffs and wooded hills. The hotel centrally located, with comfortable rooms and a swimming pool, excellent buffet for breakfast. There was a small electric kettle in the room with complimentary tea and coffee bags. There were lots of restaurants, cafs and pastry shops within a few minutes' walk. A couple of grocery stores selling fresh fruits and veggies.
