Such an amazing trip! I wasn't entirely sure of what to expect but the team were amazing. Zohi and Ben catered to our needs with incredible food. The three course dinners were to die for! They also made the chalet feel so homely and welcoming. So many laughs were had! .
First Experience with Exodus

My girlfriend and I had never taken a group tour of any kind. We are frequent world travelers and have always been independent in our travel plans. But while doing research for a trip to the French Alps we found the Exodus website and were intrigued by the simple but compelling descriptions of the Exodus experience as well as the beautiful photographs and helpful reviews. We weren't sure we would like the group travel experience but decided to give it a try. We have now returned from our trip and are still surprised at how much we enjoyed the Exodus experience. The accommodations were very comfortable. We usually like to stay in boutique luxury hotels and stay away from the home style "bed and breakfast" type of accommodations. We found the chalet provided by Exodus to be very comfortable and enjoyed the chalet atmosphere. It really felt like having a vacation home instead of staying in a hotel. We also have very high standards for food and wine. My girlfriend is an accomplished restauranteur and sommelier and cuisine is a critical part of any vacation for us. We found the food to be healthy, delicious, creative, and prepared with great flair. But what surprised and delighted us the most about the trip was the people. Our chalet hosts, Jane and Colin, were warm, caring, and friendly while at the same time professional and talented. Our guide Simon was educational, entertaining, and patient. He and his wife Jenn were delightful to spend time with both on the treks and while sharing a glass of wine. Our other trekking companions were a truly splendid group of "proper" English and Australian ladies who seemed as comfortable socializing around the dinner table as they were trekking on the trail in the rain. In a short week my girlfriend and I developed a true and heartfelt admiration for each of them. We loved our first Exodus experience and plan to add Exodus to our regular repertoire of travels. We had a fantastics time sharing 2 birthdays and 1 marriage proposal with our new friends during our altogether too short week together. (My girlfriend is now my fiancé!) We would heartily recommend the Exodus experience to anyone looking for a world class trekking experience. We've already started planning for our next trip!

This was a great holiday! I've been on 5 other holidays with this tour company and this trip ranks at the top. I had so much fun! Great hikes, great food and great fellow hikers made this trip unforgettable!

France Group Tours

See what Paris looks like under the sunset on France group tours.
Small group tours in Paris allow you to explore the beautiful sights of the city on a comfortable pace.

With so many group tours on offer, it is hard to take a pick. So, here are our best group tours in France to inspire you.

  • Explore major cities in La Belle on a group tour: The La Belle region of France is pretty big, encompassing Paris, Normandy, and the Loire Valley. Wine connoisseurs can spend the day enjoying the famous Loire Valley vineyards, history buffs can explore the artist haven of Montmartre and its castles, and nature lovers can enjoy the beautiful coastlines of Normandy—a win-win excursion for all.
  • Go on a group cycling tour in Provence: Provence is perfect for a cycle tour due to its fairly flat terrain. Group cycling tours around the region are ideal as you do not have to worry about getting lost with an expert guide leading the way or carrying your gear from palace to place. Most group cycle tours come with a luggage transfer service, allowing you to enjoy the French countryside.
  • Book a walking group tour on the French Riviera: Dramatic cliff tops, glorious weather, and stunning beaches await you on the French Riviera. Take in the Cote D’Azur coastline with an expert guide and like-minded travelers. Wander from Nice to Villefranche-sur-mer and beyond in a walking group tour that includes a pre-organized route, itinerary, portage, and hotel bookings.

Travel experience and benefits of France group tours

  • Solo travel can be intimidating, especially if you do not speak French, so joining a group tour allows you to explore in a safer and more controlled way.
  • Benefit from beat-the-queues experiences at the Louvre, Versailles, and other high-profile attractions.
  • Enjoy fun activities like learning the can-can dance in Montmartre. Group tours in France often offer excursions you cannot take as a solo traveler.
  • Do not worry about getting lost or getting on the wrong bus. You do not need to research public transport routes and timetables.

Tips when doing group tours in France

  • The French take their time with their meals. If you need to meet your group at a certain time, be sure you can account for the slow French service or get a takeaway lunch.
  • Ask your guide or driver for the best places to eat, drink, or go dancing. They will know the best places around that many tourists do not go to.
  • Join a WhatsApp group with your fellow traveling companions to stay in touch with them if you decide to peel off from your group to explore on your own.
