I booked on the last scheduled "Highlights of Provence" tour for 2015 at the last minute from Australia (where sadly, this tour operator doesn't get much exposure). The tour proved to be an absolute joy, a real jewel of a holiday. The "centre-based" accommodation concept is clever, as you can relax for the duration and not have to pack and unpack every day. Groux-les-Bains is a good base - it is a charming village, well maintained and with a good range of eateries and little shops. The Hotel les Alpes in Groux-les-Bains was a lovely base - my room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The hotel staff were friendly and the breakfast buffet was generous with a variety of choices. The two dinners we ate in the hotel restaurant (included in the tour price) were stylish and delicious.
Mont Blanc Hihglights - Trip of a lifetime as avid followers of the Tour du France for all the scenery shots, we hooked on the idea of this trip when the 2016 tour went through Chamonix and a helicopter fly over of Mont Blanc was part of the coverage. We started to look for a reputable company that had local representation in Australia and we came across the tour operator. Having never travelled to this part of the world and unsure what to expect the agents answered our many questions and for those they couldn't they organised a conference call with their UK office, who later sent photos of some of the areas I had queries on. This level of customer service convinced me that this operator was the right company for us and it turned out to be a good decision we had a great time, the Chalet was beautiful, food great and the company even better
Tour du Mont Blanc Hotel Trek This trek coupled with excellent weather and brilliant company, ranks as one of the most enjoyable adventure tours we have undertaken in the past 10 years. It was challenging at times, and the days were usually long, but that first ice cold beer never tasted better. Constantly changing scenery, beautiful flowers and butterflies makes for a photographer’s paradise. Our advice if you love walking in stunning scenery is to do the trip while you can, the sense of achievement for us was as satisfying as completing Kilimanjaro.
