A great route, planned well with rest days in the right place. The walking leader, John was knowledgable on the area and gave lots of information on the history of mountaineering in the Mont Blanc massif. We were very lucky with the weather and got stunning views every day. All campsites were as described in the trip notes and, with the exception of the two wild camps had all required facilities. Great food every night either cooked by Kieron or in a local restaurant. All in all a great trip.

This trip went far beyond my expectations. The walking was great, through lush wooded hills and fields full of the most beautiful wild flowers. The weather was mixed with one day completely washed out, although not spoilt as we still enjoyed the variety of walking even when soaked! What stood apart was the food - Sarah and Richard were the best hosts I have yet encountered - and I have traveled for over 25 years. The themed menus, quality and presentation of meals was second to none. The freshly baked daily cakes were so good to come back to after a challenging day in the mountains too. My only problem was leaving enough room for dinner each evening.

As experienced walkers with a few long distance treks behind us, the TMB exceeded our expectations. Great scenery, well led and wonderful company. We were fortunate that our waterproofs were worn for only 20 minutes in the whole fortnight!
