This was my first hiking holiday with the tour operator. It won't be my last. I chose camping as I wanted the total outdoor experience and I chose Mont Blanc because of its iconic beauty and it is just the right side of challenging! I wasn't disappointed. The two week trip is well planned and organised. There are several rest days which I didn't think I would need but were welcome and gave us a chance to explore the beautiful villages we passed through. There were 10 in my team - all ages from around the world - and I enjoyed getting to know every one of them.

We had a great week at Chalet Chocolat. Tomas and Sol were great hosts catering to a variety of dietary needs with minimal fuss. I enjoyed some meals more than others but that is to be expected. I loved the honesty bar and the social occasion that dinner became. The weather Gods were not smiling on us so we only had 3 days where I would say we had good weather however this was not to the detriment of our hiking experience but come prepared for 4 seasons in a day, even in the height of summer.

The Provenance Bike & Barge trip was amazing. The accommodations and the food were better than I could have imagined. Our guide was superb. She was very well prepared and kept us informed of our daily excursions. Although she was half our age I felt she became the adult taking care of us vacationing elderly teenagers. The bikes were very well appointed and maintained. Overall a 5 star experience!
