Everything came together for this trip - Martin, our excellent leader, a group which gelled, wonderful scenery & walks that were just a bit of a challenge for someone used to walking in the Pennines! If the weather was hot, there was the option of a cooling dip in a mountain stream at the end of most walks. The free day allowed everyone to choose either to visit Ajaccio by train or just have a relaxing day in Bocognano. The hotel Beausejour was basic but provided everything needed after a day of trekking in the hills! Recommended!

This was an excellent holiday; I wholeheartedly recommend this trip. I went with my grown-up daughter and we both thoroughly enjoyed the walks which, thankfully, were blessed with excellent weather. Had we organized the trip ourselves (which I thought about doing), I doubt we would have found such interesting and varied walks. A very good itinerary that has to remain flexible owing to the vagaries of mountain weather. The accommodation at Chalet Mont Blanc was very comfortable, with excellent homely food cooked by our equally excellent hosts Collin and Jane. They made the group feel very welcome.

This was a quite superb holiday in some of the most glorious mountain scenery imaginable. I really struggle to find anything to criticise - the route is fantastic, the hotels and food throughout exceeded our expectations, we had a great group and a quite outstanding leader. And hopefully we came home a little fitter than we left two weeks earlier, although because of the quality of the food you are unlikely to lose any weight!
