Let me start of by recommending this tour company to anyone. The tour operator had everything well organized. The accommodations were good, food at each location was good, the coach driver'Joshua' was an excellent driver, tour guide/leader 'Gustavo' was excellent, and optional tour's were good. This was my first international tour trip and the operator met my requirements and more. I'm from the Caribbean "Trinidad and Tobago ????". This tour company is an legitimate company. You do not have to worry about it being a scam. We meet one of the owners of the company in Switzerland ????at an hotel ??. I will definitely be touring with this tour operator in the future.
Liked our hotel with lovely outdoor swimming pool in the good centre of Greoux les Bains. The walks were leisurely as indicated in the tour description but as it was hot this was no bad thing. However, I was disappointed that the walk on the last day appeared to have been shortened as we didnt reach the village of Valensole as stated in the tour description and we rushed back to the hotel for lunch rather than stopping for a picnic, when I really enjoyed the picnics with the local breads and cheeses etc. The walks were varied and I enjoyed the gorge and the walk by Moustiers St Marie best. Yves was knowledgeable on many topics which was great and I was especially interested in the plants. It was nice to have a free day to visit Aix en Provence and time to visit the thermal baths if one chose. Eating out in large groups was often problematic as the service was usually very slow. It would be good to be given a list of local restaurants with a rough idea of cost as some were quite expensive. But it was a good holiday with a nice group.
Wonderful Mont Blanc Hikes Challenging hikes (for me) of about 8-10 miles per day to either summits or saddles that are part of the Mont Blanc classic circuit. We were blessed with excellent weather and terrific views of Mont Blanc, the glaciers, and the adjacent peaks. This trip fulfilled a lifelong dream of hiking in the French Alps. Great terrain, great guide, and great comrades to enjoy this spectacular place. The Chamonix Chalet was wonderful too, but I was a little challenged in terms of food because I am gluten free and also avoid red meat. I would have liked more cheese choices rather than heavy beet and bean salads for lunch, but the dinners were gourmet! A few times we were a bit rushed to make trains and avoid a long wait at the Mont Blanc Tunnel. This is definitely not a leisurely trip -- we were constantly on the go, but it was worth it. Overall, great trip! Thank you Exodus!
