Our trip commenced at the end of September and we were very fortunate to have only 1 rainy morning. The rest of the time we had ideal weather for riding, although on some days it was quite windy. We booked a comfort trip as the premium trips had already sold out. We were so glad we had the best cabin available as it had a nice big window which could open to let in fresh air. The staff were excellent & our chef was a magician because of the excellent food he produced in such a small kitchen. Arnold, our tour leader, was well organised & our guided group rode at a reasonable pace (we opted not to have an e-bike). The tour definitely has a strong focus on cycling as we would often re-join the boat quite late in the afternoon. The barge was cosy but comfortable.

Had a wonderful time and every scenery and country we've been to is worth it and a dream come true for me. Only thing for solo travelers sharing a twin room with other travelers, I would like to suggest the tour operator to have travelers declare if they have sleep apnea all the more if they are to share a room with others. People with sleep apnea shouldn't be sharing a room with other travelers since the experience for the one sharing somehow declines due to sleep deprivation. I wish the operator would do something about your rules and be more considerate with your solo travelers. Thank you. Overall though the tour and itineraries works well for me and it was an amazing experience for me.

This tour is excellent, a perfect blend of guided tour and free days to explore on your own. Great for people that want to see all the sites and learn a lot but also like to explore on their own. The tour leader, Gustavo, really made this trip amazing, I would go on any expat trip with Gustavo leading and Antonio driving, they are the best team. The Hotel Alpina was fabulous, and the couple who run it are incredible, great experience!
