Gustavo, our tour leader did an exceptional job in explaining history of the country as well as present highlights of each country. He performed his job above and beyond the call of his duty to ensure that all of us are having a good experience during the entire trip. He made my first trip to Europe an experience to remember and reminisce for the rest of my life. He had set a high bar of my expectation of how a your leader should be leading all of us to have a fun, family like and cohesive. Our bus driver, Florentine also made our tour experience exceptional that we feel safe and relax and get us to our destination with a good experience..

I have been home a few days, and looking through my many photos am still amazed that I was able to experience all those countries on the EC Tour. It is because the itinerary is so well organized and planned to allow a taste of the most desirable locations possible. All of the included and optional offerings were wonderful and we enjoyed excellent meals and excursions. But in order to have such an abundance of experiences packed into two weeks, you must be in good physical shape and able to walk 4 to 6 miles daily, climb many stairs and inclines and carry your suitcases a distance and even up stairs. We ate fast meals, lined up for the toilets and bought snacks in record time at the comfort stops on the long drives, and had many late nights and early mornings. Build up your immune system and wear a mask as the inevitable bugs will spread through the coach. Most of the hotels were acceptable with the exception of Paris where the room was tiny and the bathroom deplorable. Some hotels were really nice, especially the AlpineRose in Switzerland. The trip to the Top of the World is an unforgettable experience. I can't imagine that we could have had a better tour guide than Matt. He kept us on time and the days ran smoothly because of his constant care. His knowledge of the history of each place was phenominal, and he has the gift of story telling. A bonus was he is tall and we could keep his red hat in sight as we navigated crowded, twisted streets. Our driver, Victor, was so friendly and cheerful and worked hard taking care of the coach and us. His driving skills are amazing. We were fortunate to travel with a fun group of Aussies who were cheerful and kind. My brain is on overload as I look back and appreciate this trip of a lifetime. I am so glad we discovered ExPat Travel.

I had a good time on this tour. Driver Victor and tour Leader Andji worked very hard to make it an enjoyable experience for all the travellers. We had about 30 people on a 50 person bus, so lots of room for everybody. A lot of people (myself also at the beginning) had the impression that the tour was tightly scripted, with attractions set up on a schedule, and time to see most of the attractions in the cities we travelled to. That's not really the case at all. This is a ""taste"" of Scandinavia and the Baltics...really, if you expect to see 10 countries in 18 days, how much time can you spend in any one place? There's a lot of time spent on the bus travelling from city to city...and under EU law, the bus has to take regular stops every few hours, many of which are at highway rest stops and other such places. So you are not going to spend all that much time touring places like Helsinki, Riga, Vilnius or Berlin...remember, you are covering 5,000 kilometers in two and a half weeks. The tour should best be understood as an ""introduction"" to Scandinavia and the Baltics....a taste of what there is, so you can decide which places you want to come back to, and do in more detail. It's a ""survey course"". I saw a lot of great places and made lots of friends. I found several countries (Norway, Sweden, Estonia) that I plan on visiting again in 2024/2025, but in more detail, spending two weeks in each one, rather than a couple of days. It seems like I am complaining but I am not; this is a great tour, we saw a lot in a very short time, and you simply cannot beat the price. Hotels vary in quality from two to four star...the good ones like the Radissons/Hiltons cost about 300 Euros a night (In asked the front desk) so Expat is getting some serious volume group rate discounts here. The poorer ones are clean and good to sleep in for a night, just don't expect fancy linens, room service, or swimming pools. Overall a great tour. I will use Expat again!
