We cannot praise the quality of the staff on our recent Safari across Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe. Their commitment was extremely professional, our guide Richard's knowledge exceptional as was his ability to explain facts, history etc in an easy to understand manner, given some of our guests lack of understanding English.

My brother asked me (before the trip) "what's there". I mentioned desert and sand dunes and Etosha and wildlife and long journeys, but although I've been to Africa a number of times I was still unprepared for the vastness of the Namib desert, the beauty of the light on the dunes at dawn, the colours, the history, the expanse of Etosha, etc. What there was NOT was also memorable: no light pollution so magical starry skies and beautiful sunsets; hardly any traffic on long straight roads; very few people. Those we did meet in the few towns, in the tiny hamlets and on the campsites were all very pleasant and helpful.

This was a well organised trip. Namibia is a vast country of great contrasts and spectacular scenery. Each area we visited was so different and fascinating and our guide (Shane Katjirua) was incredibly knowledgeable about the history, geology, people and wildlife of each particular region. This all contributed to a very interesting and most enjoyable holiday..
