This trip highlights many geographical areas of Namibia from huge sand dunes, to the west coast, to Etosha, and the Waterburg Plateau. It's a full but not grueling schedule with a little bit of down time built in. Namibia's landscape is amazing during the dry season when we travelled and it would be fascinating to see how it's different in the rainy season when the riverbeds have water and the Etosha Pan is full. It's a well thought out itinerary with clean camping facilities and a couple of hotel nights thrown in. Namibia is well set up for a self-drive vacation, but the tour provides experiences that are slightly off the beaten track and informative. Every day was interesting - and not to worry - you'll get to see plenty of wildlife at Etosha! The staff was knowledgeable, super outgoing, attentive to individual needs and generally very enthusiastic as well as proud of the country. Overall a great trip - absolutely recommended!

This is an amazing way of discovering Namibia whilst getting some good cycling in under blue skies. The scenery changed constantly, wildlife was abundant and the geological features were astounding. This was not a serious cycling trip and the emphasis Was more on the wildlife and landscape. I would have given this trip 5/5 but was disappointed that one of the cycling days was completey cancelled and no longer takes place as the road is too busy and the FatBiking was about 5 miles for 2 hours not 22 miles for 3.5 hours as advertised. Since my main reason for going was the cycling this did marr the holiday a little however it was still fabulous and I would urge you to go, just don’t expect as much cycling as advertised. I am vegetarian and was well catered for.

This was a wonderful trip for so many reasons - the adventure, the scenery, the food, the company, the organisation and the animals to name a few. Three families and two guides who had never met before the trip soon melded into a happy group. The trip starts in the desert and the early rise to climb Dune 45 was blooming' cold! However, it was worth it and Jonas' porridge soon warmed us up. Swapokmund was a short re-entry into civilisation and gave the opportunity for a variety of trips. We did the seal colony boat trip and the flight over the desert. Both great (although the latter made some passengers feel extremely queasy). The bush men drawings were really interesting and then the trip to Etosha was just wonderful - particularly sitting by the waterhole in the evening watching rhinos wander in and out. The campsites were great. The Etosha ones very busy and the others very quiet. Food cooked by Jonas was great. As another reviewer has said it's amazing to see what he could knock up on a camp fire. Stews, steaks, cakes and bread. The lodges came at welcome intervals. One was a little like a deserted military camp but the beds were comfy. That and the lunchtime food at the NWR resorts (the Etosha campsites) are the only negatives I think. The whole trip passed quickly but it felt like we'd been away from home for a month. It was wonderful mental relaxation.
