The itinerary was great, we visited so many of New Zealand's greatest attractions (the scenery has to be seen to be believed), our guide had an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of his country, and most of our accommodation was comfortable. The trip started off on an incredibly high note with blackwater rafting through the Waitomo Caves and our stay at a traditional Māori village, and each subsequent destination made me wish I hadn't waited so long to visit New Zealand.
I was a little disappointed with this trip. There was lots of driving to reach a destination and the bus wasn’t the best for this situation at points it felt like we were school children. The accomodation was more hostel like. The trip leader didn’t really help as such as we had to find our own way to activities and around Queenstown mainly. But the scenery was lovely and my camera got a great workout. I think I would have seen more and done more on my own planned trip with transportation and other activities.
We had a fantastic time biking through some of New Zealand's best scenery. Our guides Elder and Kim were excellent in all respects. They were fun, thoughtful, helpful and caring and well organised. Their cooking was excellent and Kim drove safely and well. The trip includes many great vistas and terrain variety, with interesting places to stay and eat. Highly recommended. Stephen, October 2021
