An excellant trip through 4 countries in central Europe. Easy cycling, lots of history (old and recent) architecture, culture, very interesting. Easy cycling but the bit alongside the Danube was disappointing as it was on some sort of flood defence scheme and a bit dull as you could not see the river.
Our trip was a great adventure, exploring the Danube cycleway and various historic towns along the way. The accommodation and meals at the end of each day were fantastic and a great relaxation after a day's cycling.
Cycling Prague to Budapest This was a wonderful trip. The towns through Czech and the countryside into Vienna are beautiful. The Route flattens out once on the Danube and the scenery to Budapest is OK but the first part of the trip is the most scenic. It is pretty full on cycling and at times I felt like all I did was cycle, eat, sleep, but I really enjoyed it and came home much fitter than when I left.
