Excellent tour. Saw everything we wanted to see and more. The guide was great, the coach comfortable, and the accommodations were centrally located and top notch for the most part. Enjoyed the optional excursions except felt a bit rushed at times trying to fit it all in. All in all, it was a trip to remember!

11 Days of an Unforgettable Experience

What a fantastic trip! The memories, experiences and laughs makes this a trip I’ll never forget! Our tour leader Sanne was the loveliest, happiest leader you could ask for. Full of knowledge, stories and all about making the experience for you. Along with the organised itinerary there was so much free time to explore and really make the trip personalised to why you wanted to visit. I truly was sad to come home and I can’t wait to come back

Book This Trip!!!

I would definitely recommend this trip was so much fun and well organised. I would like to thank Sannne for making the trip fun, enjoyable ensuring everyone was included. Sanne ensured we all had time together as a group and made an effort to get to know us all. The group activities were good fun and the octopus was a great touch 🤣 if your considering doing the trip do not hesitate to book you won’t regret it!

It was an amazing trip! Enjoyed the pace of the trip, staying in each city for 3 nights. We had time to venture out on our own and/or sign up for an optional excursion, such as the evening Danube River cruise which was a highlight for everyone! Each hotel provided a great location from which to explore on our own with a variety of restaurants nearby. We added 2 extra days at the start and end of our trip and were able to stay in our Trafalgar Hotels with our same rooms. The local specialists were knowledgeable and provided a personal perspective to our tour. This trip provided incredible sights and treasured memories!

Three days in each city is very beneficial. It gives the traveler more time to experience what each city has to offer. ************ was a terrific tour director. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. He helped to make the trip very enjoyable.

Everything went smoothly. Our tour guide Kate picked excellent sites for us to visit and the optinal experience were fantastic as the restaurants. What I liked about the tour is that we were always a few days in each country which made the tour more enjoyable. One thing that surprised me was when our specialist in Vienna mentioned that Canadians were now the rudess people . That statement was inappropriate, she was hired to inform us about the history of Vienna. Beside that little hic cup we're anxious to go on another tour

Hungary Tours - Highlights and Travel Trips

Hungary is popular for its spa culture with its massive number of thermal water springs all over the country, easily accessible public baths and renowned grand spas like Gellért Baths in Budapest. The tagline for tourism in Hungary is “A love for life!” which explains the overall vibe of the country with its fine food, wine, diversity of the culture and the natural beauty. For history enthusiasts, this country is a treasure of resources, and they expose their knowledge generously to the tourists in their museums. Popular tourist attractions in the country consist of the wonder that is the Budapest Chain Bridge, The Great Synagogue, Buda Castle, Place of Arts and the Hungarian Parliament Building known for its unique architecture.

Situated in the middle of the continent surrounded by 7 other countries, Hungary is considered to be one of the oldest countries in Europe. It is the birth land of the Rubik’s cube and has produced many mathematicians to the world. Budapest, the capital city is picturesque with the river Danube flowing in the middle allowing 15 bridges to majestically connect the two parts of the city.

Tour Highlights

  • Learn about Hungarian folklore at Hortobágy National Park
  • Soak in the famous Széchenyi thermal baths
  • Explore the fantastical grounds of Bory Castle in Székesfehérvár

Travel Tips

  • You will be immediately identified as a tourist if you pronounce the capital city’s name as “boo-da-pest”. The correct pronunciation is “boo-da-pesht”.
  • Be sure to pack a swimsuit on your trip to Hungary so you can take advantage of the country’s 150+ thermal baths.
  • Even though Hungary is part of the European Union, it uses its own currency: the Hungarian forint. Some shops and tourist destinations will accept your euros, but it’s always best to carry the local currency.
  • Never refuse a shot of Pálinka. The fruit brandy, often homemade, is said to have healing properties and can cure all ails, from headaches to nerves.
  • Don’t clink beer glasses together while in Hungary. It is said that the Austrians celebrated their win of the 1848-49 war of independence by clinking their beer glasses. The Hungarians vowed not to do so for 150 years, and the tradition remains today. It’s fine to ‘cheers’ with other beverages, however.
