Great trek great guide

I could not have wished for a better experience :) My guide Netra was very helpful and dedicated, always trying to get me the best room in each guest house and in general making the trip as great as possible. During the trek I met two other guides from Nest (Sandeep and NT) and they were obviously just as dedicated, so I guess you can't go wrong with this company. The trek itself is stunning, especially from Namrung onwards. I ended up doing the trek in nine days (including two days of transport) and I am really glad I did so. It's certainly possible if you're a reasonably experienced hiker. The advantages: less days away, a more demanding trek (it can be disappointing to only walk a couple of hours on a day) and you can skip Dharamsala, where you sleep with 4 people in a small room and in general it looks quite scruffy. I also don't know how much the acclimatise days make a difference: some people take a couple and still become sick at the Larke pass, while others take none and are fine. I would recommend doing it in November when it is much quieter and it's still not that cold at night (if you're used to Dutch winters). During the day it can be quite hot even above 4.000m, definitely bring good sunscreen and something to protect your head against the sun. The company itself was very responsive and lend me a great sleeping bag. If I come back to Nepal and would need a guide or permit, Nest would be my choice again!

My brother and I did this hike together, it was an incredible thing to do in many ways, besides the sheer beauty of the magestic mountains and the luxury of trekking where cars can't drive, we were looked after from the beginning by Uprenda who arranged for airport pick ups for both our respective times too and from the airport, our guide Laxman who was phenomenal, full of energy and extremely caring making the journey extra special in so many ways, he always made sure we were well fed and doing ok. I did have a few moments of struggle and Laxman was always there to encourage and check up. Our porter (who's name was also Laxman :)) always had a lovely smile on his face even though he probably had the toughest job of all he helped Laxman a lot to and I have to say the two of them where amazing adding so much to an already very special trip. Thank you for truly wonderful experience.

This is a really exciting trek. I have been hiking/mountaineering for nearly 20 years, and on this trek walked through almost all terrain encountered previously. Yet, it is not overly demanding physically and has no technical difficulties. Exposure to different peoples and cultures also leaves a lasting impression.
