Valparaiso Tour and Vina del Mar

Our guide shared a lot of information about the places we went to, and about Chile in general. One thing I found less interesting though was the finicular ride at Valparaiso. We lined up for 20 minutes or so, only to get in a 30-second ride, and we enjoyed a nice view for only about 10 seconds.

Emanuel replied to our enquiry very quickly and provided lots of information about the trip. Vanessa, the tour guide, arrived at our hotel promptly and drove us high into the mountains to Embalse El Yeso. She was a very warm and informative guide and an excellent driver of a 4x4 - just what was needed for the trip. She stopped at all the places of interest for us to take photographs and even helped us climb a waterfall and find horses grazing near a stream. She also provided a really welcome vegetarian lunch (as requested) and set up the picnic table a a prime spot to enjoy the incredible views all around us. 0n the way back we stopped in San Jose for a lovely dinner at Casa Bosque.

My wife and I loved this trip in South America with many breathtaking landscapes on the way. The tours included were excellent and the guides very informative. We loved the tour to the Uros floating island and the visit to the community near the lake Titicaca. Highly recommended.
