Via Francigena Toscane - what a wonderful place to make amazing memories. Walk, eat, sleep, repeat! The only bad thing was it had to come to an end!
Great trip, good memories Hola Patty, Thanks so much for your email and again thanks for coming and picking us up in San Antonio de Areco...above and beyond and appreciated! Our flight back went smoothly and it was good to be back home after 30 days on the road. We just finished an album of our Patagonia trip and Paul has been telling everyone of our experiences. All in all it was a great trip filled with some good memories... To answer some of your question... Favorite hotel...Lirolay Suites in Bariloche Los Sauces in El Calafate Excursion has to be with Federico Kawen Adventures, kayak trip to Lago Mascardi Best of traveling with your company: Timely transfers, and knowledgeable guides like yourself! Improvements: Better communication, reply promptly to emails. Make sure that independent travelers do not get put in an excursion package that is overcrowded and impersonal...otherwise we would have chosen a tour group instead of traveling on our own. The Christiana Upsala Glacier tour was an example of being overcrowded. Thanks Patty for your recipe and keep in touch.
14 Day Northern Thailand Adventure Ali and Taro went above and beyond to make sure each and every person in our very large group (22 people) had an AMAZING experience. They are both professional, helpful, so informative about the Thai culture and extremely kind. You’re in for a good time if you have either Ali or Taro! The highlight of the tour is hands down the hilltribe stay. This is something that is not to be missed and an experience that will stay with you forever. I would recommend trying to learn even small Thai phrases if you can so you can better communicate with this small community and get the most out of your stay. But getting to experience all the fun things on this tour including the markets, temples, river cruise, waterfalls, elephant sanctuary, the Grand Canyon and the Thai cooking class are all fantastic. I was a little worried about needing a certain level of fitness for this tour as it is quite active but it wasn’t as bad as I thought and there were always options if you weren’t able to participate due to illness or injury. Do be prepared though for a reasonable amount of walking/hiking but it is all completely worth the sweat! Also be prepared for Taro to tell you that the walk is “10 minutes” and it’s actually a 45 minute hike. We call these Taro Tales. Each of the accommodation places has a pool, air con and restaurants nearby which makes it easy to navigate and socialise. If you’re thinking about booking this tour you should absolutely do it. The value for money is unmatched and you will not regret it. Thank you Ali and Taro ❤️
