We really enjoyed our South American vacation and want to thank you All the transfers worked out really well. Everyone was punctual. Tour guides were considerate and well informed. One negative to the trip was the stay at Refugio Grand Paine. Granted we were in the national park and the goal was to help us trek as much of the "W" as possible. However, we were unprepared for the unsanitary conditions that we encountered at the Refugio. I think going forward you might want to forewarn guests of the stark contrast especially when going from deluxe hotels to a setting such at that. Also, it would have been helpful if you had advised me to take along a towel as none were provided. The other feedback I would give was that after we hiked from Grand Paine Refugio to Grey Glacier to meet the catamaran, we searched a while before figuring out the location of where the boat would arrive. Clearer directions stating that the dock was situated by the Park Ranger Station would have been helpful. Other than that...we give our tour company high marks. We very much liked all of the hotels. Wish we had more time at the Singular in Puerto Natales but all the places were comfortable and had good service. Thanks again, Adios.
We've just returned from one of our best cycling trips. The scenery was amazing and varied so much day to day - Martian landscapes, amazing rock formations, geysers, salt flats and cacti. It's hard to single out anything in particular as being a favourite because it was all stunning. The descents were magnificent too. The team were brilliant, sociable, informative and provided wonderful snacks and lunches. Riding at altitude is challenging but we expected that and the itinerary allows for appropriate acclimatisation. The only thing we hadn't realised was quite how cold it would be at 4,000+ metres! I can't recommend the trip highly enough.
Cajon del Maipo lake tour The destination was beautiful, the tour got us there before the Sunday crowd and avoided getting stuck in the car mess. The english speaking guide was helpful and friendly. The wine was good, the brunch is more like finger food than a whole meal, but they gave us more food on the way back. The negative point is that they stopped to a boot hiring shop and advised us that our hiking shoes would not have been good enought, so we hired boots with an extra cost. However in this season, winter on a sunny day, our hiking boots would have done the job as there was very little mud and snow on the easy trail, and the hired boots where not that great. We trusted our guides and we felt mislead.
