Awesome trek with a great leader Having seen the Trango Towers on a K2 bae camp trek many years ago I always had an ambition to see the Torres del Paine and the didn't disappoint. Firzroy is also stunning. We were lucky with the weather which helped and all local guides were excellent. As said in other reviews Tomas our leader is a legend through his enthusiasm, knowledge and caring attitude. Would recommend.
Cajon del Maipo lake tour The destination was beautiful, the tour got us there before the Sunday crowd and avoided getting stuck in the car mess. The english speaking guide was helpful and friendly. The wine was good, the brunch is more like finger food than a whole meal, but they gave us more food on the way back. The negative point is that they stopped to a boot hiring shop and advised us that our hiking shoes would not have been good enought, so we hired boots with an extra cost. However in this season, winter on a sunny day, our hiking boots would have done the job as there was very little mud and snow on the easy trail, and the hired boots where not that great. We trusted our guides and we felt mislead.
Spectacular landscape cycling adventure A thoroughly enjoyable and amazing experience involving some of the most varied and awe-inspiring scenery within Northern Chile and Argentina. We felt that this trip was a cost effective and immersive way of enjoying the scenery. I would re-iterate a previous comment that although the distances often don't appear that long the combination of altitude, heat, road surface and transfers made for long and tiring days. As a result of our group size a number of the hotels were changed, notwithstanding this we were generally disappointed with the standard and cleanliness of the hotels we stayed in bar a few notable exceptions. Despite the more negatives aspects we have outlined we would definitely recommend the trip as the experience more than overcame any downside.
