This was the most amazing experience, enhanced by the enthusiasm and knowledge of our tour guide, David Vargas. We pretty well covered all areas of Costa Rica seeing diverse environments and experiencing different climates. David is an ornithologist and did his utmost to inspire the group with his love of birds and his country. His extensive knowledge of the history of his country and of its flora and fauna enhanced the experience. He always went the extra mile to ensure our comfort and to consider the needs of the group. We saw a beautiful and very varied landscape and a wide range of wildlife on this well organised and balanced trip, alternating between hot and humid areas and more temperate zones with optional opportunities for extra adventure. Our excellent and very knowledgeable group leader managed the needs of the mixed age group very well, arranging extra activities often to break our journeys, guiding us to good restaurants and helping us to get the most out of the excellent forest lodges or hotels we stayed in.

Wow what a brilliant trip... not only did we cycle in 3 amazingly beautiful countries, we experienced so many added extras... looking down on an active volcano at night; seeing the molten lava moving ... brilliant. We cycled around a nature reserve one morning prior to the main days cycle... our guide Memo spotting all sorts of wild life I would surely have missed and his knowledge is just outstanding. River cruises, hot springs and visiting the Panama canal centre. This trip rates among the best I have done.
