Would class myself as a 'veteran' having been on many previous cycling adventures but this is the first trip I have ever left feedback on. I realise that when you return from holidays you are on a high but I can honestly say this is one of the best, maybe even the best cycling trip I have done. The whole thing gels completely. The cycling, the views, the rafting, the different cultures, the wildlife, all brought together by a fantastic support team makes this a 5 star trip. Breakfasts are early, sometimes 6-30am, to get you cycling before it gets too hot, but this means you have downtime at the end of the day to relax, and take everything in before dinner. It's a full on trip with always things to do, then bang, a day off on a pacific beach before going at it again. Brilliant planning. Loved every minute of it. Thanks.

This was a jam-packed itinerary, with many walks and other activities, combined with a lot of driving. We moved on every two days, which was necessary to see everything, but it also meant there was no down time. Although this was a wildlife trip, at times the wildlife was rather shy. Some walks we saw very little. We probably saw more wildlife on the boat trips. Our expectations were probably not realistic, but we expected toucans and sloths to be hanging off every branch. It's not like that (at least in the dry season). We didn't see a sloth until halfway through the trip when there was one on a tree next to our hotel. Never saw a yellow-billed toucan, although we did see other toucans and toucanets (never knew there was such a thing!). Final count was around 150 different birds, as well as many other creatures (many of which we didn't know existed). So the wildlife was amazing, but you need to know it doesn't necessarily just pop out at you. On some walks, especially in Manuel Antonio, there were so many other groups looking at the same thing that it was quite difficult to get in to see things and was quite tiring at times. The walks throughout the trip were also very slow and we understand the pace was to suit looking for wildlife but walking so slowly was difficult and tiring in the heat.

Have just returned from Discover Costa Rico Tour. The whole trip was amazing from the moment I arrived until with a heavy heart I left this beautiful country.The itinerary was perfect in every way. We visited many different areas and saw the wonderful wild life and were lucky e ought to see the Quezal which was beautiful and well worth the 5 30am start .All the accommodation was lovely and each had unique features ,food was great as well. The holiday was made extra special by Alex our guide who was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable and caring and funny and just great.Our driver Mal was wonderful as well driving to perfection in sometimes difficult bumpy areas but he always had a smile on his face. All in all the best trip I’ve ever been on and can’t wait to go back to explore more .
