A terrific cycling holiday This is clearly a carefully chosen itinerary made up of backroads through picturesque country side, forests, along rivers, across plains, through sleepy country towns and into the big cities of Vienna and Budapest. There are plenty of opportunities to sample local produce and learn about the history of this part of central Europe.
The Passau to Budapest cycle along the Danube is one of those journeys where the scenery and the locations are forever changing, The journey is a mix of farmland, vineyards and cities, there is always a castle around the next corner mixed with picturesque towns with there churches and basilicas to explore. The standard of accommodation tended to vary depending on location however this was always clean with good amenities. Some of the cycle ways are custom built however there is a bit of navigation work to do in some areas particularly coming into and out of the towns and cities. We undertook this trip in June when the Danube was in flood and some of the cycle ways were underwater this meant a number of diversions, thank goodness for Google maps.
Small bachelorette party @ Portum Lines We had a great cruise with this agency! Staff was very helpful and kind. City looked amazing at the evening with all the lights and the sunset. Drinking champagne on the deck of the boat and watching beautiful lighted buildings was one of the highlights of our trip to Budapest!
