“Our Fantastic Tour Guide Made Sense of It All!” Without Alessandro, our fantastic tour guide, I would've looked at the Colosseum & Forum, and thought it was cool, but completely miss the history of what these places once were and how they transformed over the centuries. Alessandro was immensely knowledgable, kept our kids engaged, and even took fantastic pictures for our family photo albums. So grateful!
I took the "Reverse Puglia" trip June 18 to 25, 2024. It was a great trip and overview of Puglia. We stayed in trulias in Alberobello and a cave room in Matera. Everything about the grip was perfect, the pace, the places we visited, the food and local guides. However the best part of the trip was Gabriele the tour guide. He took care of everyone and was funny, intelligent, gracious and a pure delight. He is what made the trip so special and memorable, a philosopher that showed us Puglia.
The Dolomites had long been on my list to visit and I was not disappointed! A photo opportunity at every turn. Flights from Gatwick to Venice were at good times. The transfer from Venice to Campitello was nearly 3 hours but with good weather and lovely scenery the time soon went by.
The Hotel Enrosadira was comfortable and the food - lots of it- great. Getting around was easy after buying a lift/bus pass (76 euros). Our group got on well and there was always plenty of laughter and stories to tell in the evenings.
