Booking efficient; follow up was not - I had to chase; maybe the late switch from Headwater to Exodus was to blame. An interesting and varied trip, with the leader Luigina Geusa contributing a lot to that plus a good group of fellow walkers. Matera hotel (Hotel Sassi) was not good, but the hotels in Ostuni (La Terra) and Alberobello (Ramapendula) were much better.

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the holiday. The descriptions given by the tour company accurately described the level of difficulty of the walks and the coastal views are second to none. The walking was interspersed with stops at villages such as Positano and Amalfi itself. The beaches were a wonderful end to two of the walks and a dip into the sea was exhilarating and refreshing! The hotel provided plenty of food of very good quality and the family were welcoming and provided some fun evenings when the group all went into the kitchen to see how the dishes are made! The house wine was perfectly adequate and the option is there if a more prestigious wine is preferred. Our room was consistent with a 3 star hotel and was very comfortable overlooking the swimming pool. The pool, although not huge was big enough for a dip and short swim with enough sunbeds and relaxing area to wind down at the end of the day.

Wonderful tour. The crowds were heavy at our 9:30 am time but our guide (female ....can not recall her name) kept us well informed and took as much time as possible to show us the highlights and explain what we were seeing. She was passionate about the history she was showing us, and her love of her work shone through. I highly recommend this tour.
