You'll view steps differently... This is a well planned walking week on a beautiful (and steep) part of the Italian coast. Centred in Bomerano, a small town ideally situated - several of the walks start from the hotel - be warned they nearly all involve some steps (mostly downwards). The paths go through beautiful countryside with lemon groves, vineyards and spectacular views down to the sea. A day trip to walk the rim of Vesuvius and visit Pompei was very memorable. The hotel Due Torri was very comfortable and the staff all very friendly and helpful - very sensitive to some of the groups food intolerances or allergies.
Other than it being HOT, this was a fantastic trip with my three grown children and a great value for the money. There is a good amount of walking, so comfortable shoes were a must. Also, sunscreen helped us not get too burned. Multiple individuals in the group, us included, had issues with the hotel in Sain Agata not having working a/c and in July it's needed. They had a pool which made up for it some, but it's hard to sleep at night when the temperature is 80+ in the room. Most hotels had good breakfasts, some only had sweets but overall the food was excellent everywhere we ate. Pizza is amazing in Italy. We did all of the excursions with the exception of the Amalfi Coast. I may have missed the email on excursion costs, or one wasn't sent, but it would've been nice to know the prices prior to the start of the trip. The tour leader can only take Euros for excursions, which in this day and age cards should be allowed, so make sure you have enough cash on hand. I'm guessing, but it probably cost between 250 to 300 Euros per person for all of the excursions that we did. First tour with Expat, but not the last.
It was a good trip for my family to experience . It would be good if morning we no need to get out so early and breakfast longer. Most hotels aircon not so good. The best is in amsterdam!. Thumbs up for Pedro as he is the one who brings everyone together!very funny, loving, caring, responsible n yet professional. Barry is a safe driver too and very helpful. Both of them works very well together as a team to take us around. I have taken 3 tours fr expat..Pedro is the best tour guide! Lots of option tours nowadays . Shud be part of the tour itself..
