Italy March 2025 Tour Reviews

4.7 - Excellent

Excellent guide!
5 - Excellent

Francesca could not have been more gracious, clear in her explanations,or better informed on the history of Pompeii. She knows her subject well and was able to answer all questions with good background information. If she did not know something obscure, she did not speculate. I would go on another walk with her any day.

The tour was very well organized and provided us with amazing experiences. We were able to see the most important sights in each location. The pre planning and logistics work by our tour guide and coach driver ensured that we were able to make the most of the experience.
All about the sightseeing

This trip is about the sightseeing and exploring the towns in the region, Matera and the trulli were fascinating. The walks are as described in the notes and with the exception of the Matera ravine walk pleasant but nothing special. The paths are flat and easy to navigate, not one for serious hikers. The accommodation was good , the food was typically Italian, lots of pasta, pane pomodoro (tomato bread) and mozzarella. I suspect coeliacs may find it a challenge unless they like tomato and Mozarella salad!
