Sicily Food Adventure
5 - Excellent

We booked this trip to go in 2020 and finally made it in 2022. It was well worth the wait. It was everything we'd hoped for and more. Bustling local markets, stunning Greek/Roman temples, fascinating architecture (the baroque balconies), a chance to walk on Mount Etna and of course all the amazing food and wine. There were certainly plenty of opportunities to sample the delights of Sicilian food and wine with our superb guide, Rosario.
A Magical Week

What a magical week: walking one of Italy's most spectacular coastlines in the company of a really great group led by our wonderful guide, Veriano. After a day ascending mountains or volcanoes, descending stone stairways connecting sublimely picturesque towns and villages or traversing ancient mule paths on The Path of the Gods, we would return to a warm welcome and great food from our hosts, the hospitable Acampora family, and their first-rate staff.
Walking the Amalfi coast

An excellent week's walking along the Amalfi coast. There were some challenging steps down to the coast- over 2000 at one point but the views were spectacular. Staying in a village away from the hustle and bustle of the coastal towns was a bonus and the hotel was excellent. The food demonstrations were great fun and very interesting. The staff were very friendly and helpful even providing some rice to put our wet phone in! We paid for a room upgrade as it was a special occasion and we had a lovely balcony and beautiful bathroom. We found a walking pole was useful on some of the walks to give extra stability on descent and on the slightly rocky parts. The Walk of the Gods was stunning and we enjoyed the fruit drinks at the end!
