This took us first to Matera- the most amazing town to visit!!! and then on to Alberobello. Beautiful scenery, wonderful flora and fauna, interesting historic towns and villages, wonderful local food and wine...... We were lucky in being with a friendly group AND we had an outstanding guide- Giuseppe!!!

Having wanted to hike in the Dolomites for some years, I finally made a point of doing so, and it didnt fail to impress. If you have an appreciation for spectacular mountain scenery and beautiful lakes, you wont be disappointed. And when you couple this with exploring fascinating tunnels and trenches dating back to the First World War, explained by the knowledgable tour leader, together with stops to indulge in local delicacies such as apple strudel and kaiserschmarrn and the great hotel accommodation, it all adds up to a fantastic week.

I really enjoyed this trip. The scenery was amazing, and hiking with new friends from different countries was really a treat. Our guide, Julian, did a great job taking care of us and handling details as we went. The hiking was challenging enough for me. I can definitely recommend this trip to others.
