I found the tour to be excellent. Tiberio was simply fantastic. His depth of knowledge and true passion for his work makes him a great guide. This was the best tour I've ever been on!
Etna in action!

This is a fantastic tour if you’re interested in both the food and the history of Sicily, as the tour combines both of them very well. The trip manages to pack so much in, every day there is something new to see, a new place to visit and a new tasting experience. The tour hops from hotel to hotel, using 5 different establishments, everything from small boutique style, to a holiday village with dome shaped bungalows and a 2 night stay in a large hotel complex on the outskirts of Catania. My week was full of a few unexpected things! Lost luggage between Milan & Palmero airports, absolute torrential rain on day 1 while in Palmero, an abandoned walk on Etna due to more extreme weather and to top it off an eruption of Etna on my departure day which coated Catania & the airport in a layer of black volcanic ash! This resulted in the airport being closed, several flight changes and finally getting home 2 days later than planned! It’s a packed itinerary, some early morning starts and a lot of distance covered in the bus. A good guide book together with the trip notes will help you no end.

My husband and I took our 2nd Expat tour with Pedro our wonderful guide and Chris our fabulous driver! We wanted to see some highlights of Europe and this was the best way to do it. Yes, it was fast paced! But, we were expecting that anyway. It you want to see the main cities in these countries and get a feel for them in a short amount of time, then this trip is great. We came way with a better understanding of cultures, architecture, languages, food, people, music, and ourselves. Being on a coach tour also helped us make great connections with new people and having a guide and driver made the whole trip so much easier. There is no way we could have Navigated our way through Europe on our own. I think this tour helped me feel more comfortable in Europe and now I know where I would like to go back and spend more time in the future. The hotels were wonderful, the food was amazing, the planned tours were excellent and well thought out. The only negative thing about the tour for us was the crowds, but Expat has no control over that. I would recommend this tour to anyone.
