The Real Walk of the Gods

A very full week of walking and yes, lovely food and wine at the hotel. Amalfi, Positano, Mt Vesuvius and Pompeii, walks in the hills and a touch of coffee culture are the highlights of this trip.

If you are an occasional cyclist then this would be a nice trip, but there are some serious climbs on days 4 and 5 to tackle, but the views are worth it. That said, there is also a lot of flat riding on cycle paths that can get tiresome and mundane. Michele was an excellent guide with lots of little stories and anecdotes to tell. The hotels are ok, with possible exception of Verona which was a bit basic, an upgrade or two would be preferable.

Bomerano is a peaceful, charming village. I enjoyed the stay there very much. The week was tiring, but worth the effort. The whole area was beautiful, and the hikes took us to a good variety of places. Exodus had everything organized very well, and they were extremely helpful in preparing for the trip, booking, paying, and conducting the tour. I was pleased with Exodus as a company. I had some issues with the hotel (see below) but otherwise the trip was great.
