We did tend to feel a little rushed in the Academia, however we understand that there is only so much time that can be allocated to a tour. The city walk and the Duomo were also good, but it would have also been good to have the time to light a candle. Angelo was fantastic. His knowledge of the history of Florence and the art, architecture and people around the renaissance time was just amazing. His way of delivering the content was also excellent. You can tell that he is really into it all; which makes for an excellent tour. He made it easy to be involved.
MWV - Cycling Puglia and Matera This was my 8th cycling trip and my first time in Puglia and it was a very enjoyable tour. The overnight towns were all very beautiful each with their own special charm. All the hotels were located in or within a 15-20 minute walk to the historic centre. Our group was lots of fun and got along well. The cycling was fairly relaxed overall but there were some short hills and one day was quite windy so it was more challenging than other days. Highly recommend this tour for the fabulous food, wine and sights.
Great leader and super enjoyable cycling Davide was a first class leader - fun, adaptable, friendly, considerate, and managed the group really well; he deserves 5 stars personally. E-bikes were the best ever. Excellent hotels except the one in Syracusa which is not an acceptable standard (room and breakfast). Fascinating insight into Sicilian history, culture and ecology - Davide knew so much and made every trip interesting. Cycling was very good overall - a couple of really good and challenging rides including stunning scenery though cycling days 3 and 4 could have been longer and more interesting ideally. A very nice group which gelled well.
