You really have to go on this trip! The scenery is amazing with a mixture of dramatic mountains and green hills. Lovely family run hotel with very high class rooms and food. Great leaders (Emily and Eric) who are very experienced and helpful and really want you to have a great holiday.

Being complete novices my wife and I were just experimenting with this trip. We are so glad we did. The walks are all pretty challenging stuff but the rewards of the effort put in are more than ample reward. We were fortunate enough to get a pretty good week, some snow, some blue skies and not too cold and the Dolomites definitely showed us their best face. We are in our early sixties and walk regularly and found the walks doable but not easy. You get out of this holiday what you put in.

We booked this 12-day Europe tour after hearing a recommendation from a friend and reading the reviews. We were not disappointed. We saw a great deal in the 12days, it is a fast-paced tour. Our tour guide Antonio and bus driver Peter was the best. Antonio gave us plenty of information about the places we would see and kept on time so we could get the most out of the trip. He also interacted with all of the tour members getting to know us as we did him. Peter did an awesome job of keeping us safe. his driving skills were excellent. We stayed at some very nice hotels along the way, some of which served us dishes from the country we were in. There was plenty of photo opportunities during the trip, but as I said it is fast moving so you can see many sites. If you looking to spend a lot of time at any one location you should consider another tour. We had a few people in our group who felt the tour was about them and not the group, making it hard at times for Antonio to keep us on track to get everything in. But, he did a great job. I would suggest that you do your research and read all the information that Expat sends you. It will help you be better prepared for the trip and have a good understanding of why the timeline is so important in group tours like this. The walking tour in Italy is a long day. You put in about.9 miles so wear good comfortable shoes on this trip. I know it seems to long but if you want to see the sites you have to keep moving. There is so much to take in on all the stops.
