Great trip fulfilled all our expectations. The trekking was hard work but the scenery made it all worth while. The guide was excellent as were all the porters and local guides. And really appreciated the comfort of the lodges and the good, varied foods they provided.
When I booked my trip with this local travel specialist I did not make a lot of research about the trail and how they operate, because I wanted to be amazed by the experience and be surprised by the views and the mountains!!! Without knowing a lot about the places we would visit, my biggest concern was safety. However, it ends up I found on this team some true FRIENDS (lots of fun on the days together) and the MOST qualified PEOPLE to make me feel safe and enjoy the trip to the full!!! A special thanks to RAMESH and NIMA that are now part of my future!!!
Great adventure and great people As our guides said, the first time you come to Nepal it's for the mountains, the next time you come it's for the people. The trek itself was amazing - mountain views, huge vistas, helicopter flights. The accommodations and food were all nice as well, and we were treated with a lot of hospitality. However, what truly made the trip memorable were our two guides Rishi and Santosh. These guys took their time to get to know all of the members of our large 27 student group personally and were always able to crack a joke to lighten the mood. They supported us on the mountain and spent their free time with us talking/playing cards back at the tea houses. We had conversations every night and they taught us A LOT about the Nepalese culture and traditions and made sure that we always felt comfortable in their country. When we had a free day in Kathmandu after the trek they graciously spent their free time giving us a bike tour around Kathmandu, a great way to see the city. They started the trip as two guides to me, but really left the trip as two friends. I will definitely be visiting Nepal and these guys again in the future.
