This classic trek is not for the faint hearted. Although the distances covered are not great, the fact that much of the trek is above 3000m means that effort required is significant and the day crossing the Throng La Pass at over 5400m is by far the most strenous with a 4am start and 1500m climb - equivalant to climbing Ben Nevis from the summit of Mt Blanc. The trek has been very well thought out with slack included just in case there are delays on the pass due to weather or sickness. The mountain views are awesome but there are also stretches of near desert where the going isn't quite so good.
Trekking to the Forbidden Kingdom of Mustang I am back to home after spending more than 2 weeks in Nepal and a trek organized by a local tour agency operated by Upendra, a professional guys committed to work. The trekking was together with my wife and a guide and a porter from the company. Everything went so smooth and well organized. The trekking was more than beautiful from starting to the end. Lots of traditional people were met on this route. Very few people away from crowds which makes sense after you pay hefty fees to enter the area. I am totally satisfied with this trekking route, this was an amazing experience for both of us!
Excellent 12 Days Annapurna Circuit Trek Everything about the trip was great. The local travel specialist organized it all in a friendly and efficient manner. From the moment we arrived in Nepal, they took care of every detail, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. The Annapurna Circuit Trek served as an interesting warm-up before the main event - climbing Thorong La Pass. This trek allowed us to acclimatize to the altitude and terrain, preparing us for the challenging climb ahead. The landscapes we encountered along the way were breathtaking, with snow-capped peaks, lush valleys, and charming villages. Climbing Thorong La was a remarkable experience. The ascent was demanding, but the efforts were rewarded with stunning panoramic views from the top. The descent down the valley from Manang not only provided a chance to rest and recover, but it also allowed for further acclimatization while enjoying the beauty of the surrounding landscape. The pinnacle of the trip was reaching the summit of Lobuche East Peak. This climb proved to be quite challenging as it involved steep sections and technical maneuvers. However, with the assistance of our climbing guide who fixed ropes and provided expert guidance, we were able to conquer the peak without too much difficulty. The sense of achievement and the breathtaking views from the top made it all worth it.
