Three friends and I completed the 12-day Everest Base Camp trek with the local operator in March 2018. We had the best time. Our guide, Ramesh Gurung, was fantastic. He was encouraging, patient and knowledgeable and helped all of us to get to Base Camp. After reaching base camp, I had really bad headaches, and Ramesh did not hesitate in arranging for us to trek it down to lower altitude to help me. Our two porters were also outstanding, in particular trekking from Gorak Shep to Thukla in a snowstown. I'd recommend Ramesh and the team to anyone travelling in Nepal. The trek itself was out of this world. I've never experienced a landscape similar, with the vast towering peaks. It was unforgettable.
Fabulous trip, great guide, great group. Some accomodation substandard but there were no other choices. The beauty of the country and the people made up for some of the discomforts
Annapurna Circuit Trek experience My and my wife booked 14 days Annapurna Circuit trekking. It was 11 days of walking but every single day was worth it. 8 days took a trek from Khudi to Muktinath. 2 days we spent on walking from Tatopani to Ghorepani. All experience was great. The scenery out there is just awesome. It is not easy for amateurs I would say and you definitely should train some squats before you come to Nepal to do that. Your knees will thank you after. We had a great guide Samrat. He speaks English and knows the trek very well. He was very fast and good in organizing everything we needed. Very helpful guy so request for him when you decide to go with this local operator. Just make sure that before the start you clarify all the things that are included and excluded in the price. There are many additional charges up there in the mountains like Wi-Fi, hot shower, charging phones. Also clarify what is actually included in your meal option.
