As many of the other travellers who were on the same trek have said, this was one of the best. We've trekked many times in the Himalaya without visiting the Annapurna or Everest regions, so all our experiences have been in less visited and quite remote areas. With this in mind, this trip was still exceptional. We passed through a wide variety of environments, were rewarded with spectacular high peak scenery, and observed traditional life in villages which gradually evolved from Nepalese to Tibetan culture the higher we trekked. This part of our experience was enhanced by staying mainly in lodges in the villages rather than wild camping which is what we've mostly done previously. Even though the lodges were basic (and referring to them as 'lodges' may be rather misleading!), they were nevertheless adequate for our needs.

Great peak to climb. However, the itinerary is not efficient. I had to pay for 23 days trip (come back the same way) but it can be done for 16 days (i was back home 6 days earlier) by using bus and jeep instead of walking on the jeep road for 4 days. With 23 days we totally can come back different way (thru Thorong la Pass)

Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!. A very challenging walk with many stairs and uphill climbing but we were surrounded by breathtaking scenery every step of the way. The combination of tent and tea house accommodation was comfortable. Samde was professional, organised and always very informative with our plan for each day. We walked at a pace that suited each trekker allowing us to truly absorb our beautiful surroundings. Interaction with the local Sherpa people in the many villages we passed through along with many mule and yak teams that walked the same trails added to the authenticity of the whole experience. Our support team, Santosh, Dawa, Kamal, Jaya, Souit and Subash were amazing nothing was ever any trouble. A truly incredible experience.
