I believe everyone should take this trek at least once in their lifetime. The things you see, the people you meet, the places you go cannot be topped or emulated anywhere else on the planet. It takes hard work and a willingness to overcome mental and physical difficulties, but whatever challenges one may face, the journey and destination are well worth it. Our guide was Mr. Karma, a consummate professional and one of the coolest individuals I have ever met. He is a climber himself and has loads of knowledge to share about all the mountains you come across, the things you see, the places you go and the people you meet. If I ever have an opportunity to take this journey again (and I hope I will) I will be sure to seek out Mr. Karma once again.

I am back to home after doing a trek to Everest Base Camp with my girlfriend. Simply to say, I had fantastic memory in the Himalayas. It was definitely a great trekking experience.

Larkya Peak Expedition and Manaslu Circuit

Great adventure of a lifetime! Manaslu area is really one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to (even better that EBC I would say). In the end I was only climber to try to climb Larkya Peak (6249m), but I had to return at 5700m because of much snow, cold feet, little bit late and yes, tired too. I recommand to plan two highcamp-nights, so guides have enough time to prepare fixed ropes. And to start early (2am maybe). Summit day quite demanding, especially to get back to Bimthang on the same day. Namaste, Markus
